This renowned facility caters to the mental health needs of adults, adolescents, and children, offering a wide array of services, including the nationally acclaimed New Orleans Institute for trauma treatment. With over 40 years of excellence in managing acute psychiatric conditions, dual diagnosis, detoxification from alcohol and drugs, trauma-based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders, River Oaks Hospital has cemented its reputation as a leader in comprehensive psychiatric care.

Clinical responsibilities encompass conducting admission evaluations, managing daily patient care, leading treatment teams, and liaising with clinical and medical staff.
  • Rotational weeknight and weekend on-call duties

Position Requirements:

  • Board Certification in General Psychiatry or a related sub-specialty
  • An active Louisiana medical license or the eligibility to acquire one
