We are actively seeking either a part time or full time Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist will provide clinical leadership and consultation to staff, as well as direct care services to clients within the Substance Abuse Expansion Project, consistent with the clinical responsibilities approved by the Board of Directors and assigned per completion of the organization’s Privileging/Re-Privileging Process. In addition, the Psychiatrist will provide clinical consultation to staff, colleagues, hospital liaisons, primary care physicians, and other mental health providers to facilitate appropriate treatment and timely discharge of clients from psychiatric/substance abuse inpatient treatment programs, and/or other facilities into Center services, or to facilitate timely transition of clients back to their community providers.

Job Responsibilities:

· Provide a wide variety of clinical services to assigned clients, including, but not limited to, psychiatric assessment, medication evaluations and monitoring, psycho-education, and assistance in clinical dispositions in compliance with organizational best practices, and the organization’s licensing and accreditation bodies.

· Participate in regular case reviews and case conferences as scheduled and provide clinical consultation and oversight to program staff members. Be available to Emergency/Crisis Intervention Services Program, if necessary.

· Integrate mental health and addiction services for assigned caseload by participation in program service development, staff education, training, etc.

· Complete all appropriate clinical documentation concurrently with each face-to-face visit.

· Act as liaison with other agencies, and coordinate care with other health care practitioners, particularly primary care physicians, to ensure the highest quality of care for clients in accordance with our expectations and professional standards.

· Meet annual target hours for clinical services. Annual target hours are to be determined as a percentage of standard hours, required face-to-face contacts, and program need, and may differ by individual psychiatrist.

Education:

· RI MD/DO required. Additional licensing to prescribe Buprenorphine/Suboxone required.

· Several years working with dually diagnosed clients preferred.

· Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
