Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including interviews and physical exams, to diagnose mental health conditions.
- Provide therapy for patients who want and need therapy.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring their effectiveness and making adjustments as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapy services and recommend additional treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or psychoanalysis.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and align on patient care plans.
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure confidentiality and privacy in all patient interactions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of a residency in psychiatry.
- Valid and active medical license in the state of Minnesota.
- Board certification in psychiatry.
- Demonstrated experience in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Strong understanding of the various types of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary health care team.
