Hybrid Medical Director + Clinical Locums Job in the California Bay Area
Details/Requirements:
*Full time medical director/clinical combo position starting ASAP and ongoing. Client will consider either locums or locums to perm candidates.
*Will provide medical director administrative services for 15-20 hours a week, and 20-25 hours a week for clinical services.
*Duties include medical supervision of psychiatrists and the director of nursing.
*Involves seeing FSP patients with severe mental illness. Will treat both mild to moderate and SMI patients. Most patients will have some type of SMI disorder, and there will be some ACT Team patients but no field work is required for the medical director candidate.
*Although client treats patients ages 5 and up, you do not have to be a child trained psychiatrist. Will consider a board certified 100% adult psychiatrist who has no comfort treating children or adolescents.
*Hours: 8A-5P, M-F, 40 hours a week.
*Treatment team meeting for one hour each day, but the medical director doesn’t have to attend unless one of their own patients needs to be discussed.
*Need is for hybrid coverage.
*No call.
*Electronic health record, so you must be computer savvy.
*For adults, client allows one hour for initial evaluations and 30 minutes for medication follow ups. For children and adolescents, client allows 1 to 1.5 hours for initial evaluations and 30-45 minutes for medication follow ups.
