Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inpatient Staff Psychiatrist to join our client growing team. As an Inpatient Staff Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients admitted. Status: Full time, W2

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, some schedule flexibility

No on-call required

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status, including medical history, present symptoms, and psychosocial factors
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, to provide coordinated and holistic care to patients
  • Monitor patients' progress throughout their inpatient stay, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for relapse prevention
  • Document all clinical activities accurately and in a timely manner, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
  • Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of psychiatry.
  • Supervision available but not required.
  • On-call coverage available for an additional stipend, but not required.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and valid license to practice psychiatry
  • Completion of residency training in psychiatry from an accredited program
  • Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry
  • Licensed in the state of OH to practice or interest in attaining
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse patient population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic rapport with patients from different backgrounds
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
