Schedule:
- Monday - Friday roughly 8am - 5pm
- Provider will round in the morning, and every third day they will take a turn managing all hospital calls/consults, etc. (during 9-5).
- Call Requirements: There may be call every third evening and one weekend per month.
- Weekend Call: 5pm Friday - 8am Monday. Provider may be asked to cover a weekend (rounding/call).
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (with plans to test) in Psychiatry
- IA license (or willing to obtain)
- Must be interested in Locum to Perm
- Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up is preferred.
- Required Treatment Disorders: Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders
- Required to have familiarity with Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion therapy, Voluntary Commitments, ER
Job Details:
- Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-12
- Total Number of Beds: 18 adults, 5 adolescents
- How Many Advanced Practice Providers Support Your Group? 2
- Documentation System/EMR: Cerner
- Trauma Level/Designation III
- Referral/Transfer Protocol: University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car
- Safety/Security Measures in Place: security on each campus
