Inpatient Psychiatrist/Medical Director

Join River Vista Behavioral Health in Madera, CA, as an Inpatient Psychiatrist and Medical Director, and be part of the San Joaquin Valley's newest and most comprehensive behavioral health facility. Our state-of-the-art 125-bed hospital opened its doors in October 2023, providing a full continuum of inpatient services, including specialized units for children and adolescents. We are also providing outpatient programs include child, adolescent, and family therapy, specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, and other common behavioral health issues.

As a Full-Time 1099 Psychiatrist, you'll take on a dual role, combining clinical expertise with administrative responsibilities. Whether you specialize in General Psychiatry or Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our facility.

Key Details

  • Full Time, 1099 with monthly Medical Directorship stipend.
  • Inpatient setting with a focus on regular rounding, admissions, discharges, and treatment team leadership.
  • Collaborate with the medical executive committee and oversee a dedicated physician team.
  • Support the CEO and hospital leadership in expanding service offerings and opening additional units as staffing levels permit.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited program.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • 3+ years of previous experience in medical leadership.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of CA or the ability to obtain a CA medical license.
  • Meet all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
