CLINIC HOURS:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am to 6:30pm


COMPENSATION:
- $350,000 Starting Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
This thriving community health center opened in 2011 and currently employs more than 20 physicians across a variety of specialties - psychiatry, pediatrics, ob/gyn, infectious disease, orthopedics, behavioral health, podiatry, and pain management, as well as full-scope primary care. They operate 4 clinic locations in the Lancaster area, with a robust support staff of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical and administrative team members.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The psychiatrist will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer / Chief Mental Health Officer and work out of the clinic locations in Lancaster, with some remote (telemedicine) work days as patient needs allow. The position plays a vital role in the practice’s behavioral health program, collaborating with the Director of Behavioral Health.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- provide psychiatric, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to patients
- conduct psychiatric examinations and evaluations
- make diagnoses
- prescribe therapy
- conduct individual and group psychotherapy
- consult with psychologists, social workers, and others in the community
- confer with patients’ relatives regarding illnesses and treatments
- assist in establishing psychiatric programs and policies
- assist in developing healthcare plans and reviews of program requirements
- recommend appropriate changes to the program when identified
- participate in care team huddles, provider meetings, and all-staff meetings

Psychiatrists typically see two (2) patients per hour and are supported as needed by the office’s resource staff.

The practice uses the Epic EHR.


REQUIREMENTS:
- California medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility, Psychiatry
