Position Overview:
Seeking a dynamic Psychiatry Chair to provide strategic, clinical, and operational oversight for Psychiatry services in Minnesota. This role involves partnership with administrative and nursing leaders and encompasses a wide range of responsibilities in the Psychiatry department.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Psychiatry and Psychology teams to support patient-centric care in various service lines.
Develop team relationships across practice, information systems, and market areas.
Lead recruitment efforts for the department.
Communicate practice issues and track performance measures and targets.
Align resources to achieve departmental goals.
Collaborate with regional Psychiatry/Psychology departments.
Provide leadership, development, and mentoring to colleagues.
Oversee academic and scholarly activities, including research and education in the department.
Qualifications:
Board-certified, practicing psychiatrist.
FTE distribution: 80% clinical practice, 20% administrative/leadership.
Demonstrated leadership competencies and decision-making skills.
Ability to operate within matrix leadership structures and manage ambiguity.
Strong team-building and communication skills.
