  • MultiCare is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Physician to join their Adolescent Behavioral Unit at the Tacoma General Hospital for weekend in patient coverage, in person. Work with a collegial team of physicians, advanced practice providers, licensed clinical social workers, and therapists.

    Expectations for weekend coverage on the unit:
    • Will be covering a maximum of 12 patients which will include 1-2 discharges, 1-2 new admits and the rest will be regular progress check ins.
    • All admissions can be voluntary, or Family initiated or Detained children.
    • The legal status is taken care of when patient is initially admitted by intake coordinators and paperwork is reviewed by intake nurse.
    • Discharges are also mostly prepared by weekday clinician and weekend clinician will only do the Mental status check in and Suicide risk assessment.
    • New Admits will also have a Pediatrician to complete the physical examination on the day of admit so if there is any question for any ongoing medical problems they are available to consult.

Compensation:

$1,250 per day for weekend call coverage
