Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to fill an opening with a Primary Care Practice located in Bronx, New York.

Requirements of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

• Must have an active NYS License
• Must be Board Certified
• Must have at least 1 year of clinical experience
• Must be Credentialed with Medicare and Medicaid
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not a requirement

Schedule of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

• The is a Part-time position
• 10 hrs / week (one 10-hr shift, or two 5-hr shifts)
• Hybrid (On-site days are Tuesdays and/or Fridays)

Responsibilities of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

• Diagnose and treat common acute psychiatric problems, illnesses, and crises
• Psychopharmacologic management in collaboration with a psychiatrist
• Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy
• Care for and counsel clients with commonly identified chronic psychiatric conditions
• Coordinate and integrate multidisciplinary services for clients with complex psychiatric problems
• Monitor common health care problems and refer for specialized medical treatment as needed
• Provide comprehensive family psychiatric-mental health education
• Work with clients and their families in anticipation of developmental milestones, life cycle events
• Perform or recommend age-appropriate screening procedures
• Promote wellness-oriented self-care
• Advocate for family psychiatric-mental health clients and their families
