Job Responsibilities
• Be responsible for monitoring and adjusting medication types and doses, per protocol.
• Assess, diagnose, and make recommendations for physical ailments that arise during treatment of patient.
• Be responsible for ordering appropriate screenings and laboratory tests.
• Serve as a consultant to other clinicians / Prairie View staff.
• Collaborate with other staff members for the purpose of evaluation and treatment.
Qualifications
• Minimum Experience: Must have experience working with adults for the purpose of doing clinical assessments, psychopharmacologic prescribing by protocol
• Must be proficient at basic keyboarding/word-processing skills
• Must have sufficient communication skills (including verbal and written) to document and communicate therapeutically with patients and staff
• Must have good perceptual skills
• Must have experience with the principles of managed care
• Must be competent in assessing patients, using current DSM-V criteria
• Must be competent in recognizing side effects and adverse drug reactions, especially with psychotropic medications
• Must have good interpersonal skills to work within a complex of multi-disciplinary teams
• Must be competent in utilizing basic psychotherapeutic skills to establish patient / clinician relationships
• Must be granted privileges to provide individual, family, and group therapies, and evaluations
• Must be able to pass both a California Bureau of Investigation Screen and Central Registry Screen
