The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Health in Philadelphia is recruiting a full-time psychiatrist to join our growing Psycho-Oncology program within the Division of Supportive Oncology. Faculty appointment possible, if interested, in the Department of Psychiatry with a secondary appointment in the Department of Medical Oncology.
In this role, providers will focus on the clinical care of patients and caregivers with a wide range of cancer types and across the disease trajectory. Care delivery is supported by a large interdisciplinary team that includes psychology, social work, palliative medicine (MD/NP/RN), financial advocacy, cancer nutrition, cancer rehabilitation, patient support and education, population health and much more. Opportunities in education, research, and quality improvement are available and encouraged. The division has received numerous grants and has ongoing research in a number of areas including, health and digital literacy, program design and evaluation, alternative payment and care delivery models and medical cannabis.

We invite BC/BE physician candidates with excellent communication skills, a commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork, and a passion for working with patients who are medically complex. Completion of a fellowship in Psycho-Oncology and/or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is preferred. Eligibility for licensure in PA/NJ/DE is essential.
