Job Summary:
A diverse psychiatric team of MDs, and PMHNPs
Responsibilities:
- The Medical Director provides clinical and administrative leadership for the hospital’s Inpatient Psychiatry Service
- 14 bed acute Inpatient Psychiatry unit, consults to Med-Surg inpatients at several affiliate hospitals, and consults to the Emergency Departments
- Partners with nurse leaders to ensure the delivery of high quality acute care, focusing on evidence-based practice, measurable outcomes, patient experience, and affordable cost
- Partners with hospital leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and continual accreditation readiness
- Supervises all Inpatient physicians and advanced practice providers
- Ensures a supportive educational environment for learners
- Opportunity to incorporate telemedicine as a strategy in the area of rural health and affiliation development
- Call 1 in 5 or better
- Integrated EPIC Electronic Health Record; Medical and Rural Surgery residency programs
