Job Summary:

Portsmouth Regional Hospital is recruiting an Addiction Psychiatrist physician to join their psychiatry residency program at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Opportunity to work with Mary Alice O’Dowd, M.D., a leader in the field of psychiatry for decades. Live and work in the charming seacoast area in tax-free New Hampshire or commute from nearby cities in Massachusetts and Maine. This is a new service line Portsmouth Regional Hospital is providing for the residency program.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Licensed to practice in New Hampshire
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Fellowship trained in Addiction Psychiatry preferred, but not required
  • Certified and recertified (if applicable) by the American Board of Psychiatry
  • 2 years of experience as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program preferred, but not required
  • Develop a service line for patients and curriculum for residents
  • Mix of Inpatient and Outpatient, IOP
  • Candidates must have strong team building, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Additional characteristics of qualified applicants include adaptability, creativity, as well as enthusiasm for teaching and quality patient care
