Join a team that’s Changing What’s Possible – The Medical University of South Carolina’s (MUSC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is actively recruiting for a General Psychiatrist to provide services at Clemson University at the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPs) at the Student Health Services.

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Training from an accredited Psychiatry Program and Board Certification / Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Provides patient-focused psychiatric evaluation and treatment at CAPs
  • Experience in working with a university student population
  • Adheres to psychiatric clinical practice informed by science and multicultural competence

Our Opportunity:

  • Provide outpatient, psychiatric care for undergraduate and graduate students at Clemson University
  • Utilize in person and telehealth modalities during typical clinic hours Monday – Friday, with no call obligation
  • Join a 25-person counseling team composed of PhDs, psychologists, master’s level counselors and psychology interns.
  • Generous administrative time for teaching, outreach, and documentation
  • Provide consultation to Medical Services, CAPS staff, parents, faculty and staff as needed for crisis intervention and emergency services
  • Give lectures and teaching for psychological internship program
