**Inpatient Psychiatry Openings in Phoenix, AZ** **About the Opening** - Full-time, permanent - SMI population - severely medical ill; court ordered; 95% - Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p - No call. - Duties include collaboration with a psychiatric nurse practitioner and teaching of rotating medical students, with faculty appointment available to the Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix. - 400-beds operated by health system. Each Psychiatrist covers 10-11 beds. **Compensation** - All benefits offered, including four weeks of PTO, one week of CME (allowance: 4K/year), 10 paid holidays, retirement plan and employer paid malpractice coverage. - PTO: 4 weeks PTO plus 10 paid holidays, plus 1 week of CME. After 3 years you get an additional week of PTO - The facility is part of a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center, as well as 11 FQHCs located around metropolitan Phoenix. It is part of the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance which sponsors numerous ACGME accredited residencies and fellowships, including internal medicine. - Underserved patient base - Loan Repayment: Federal HPSA Loan Repayment Program and have a system score of 21 **Additional Information:** - The medical group has 3 inpatient psychiatric hospitals. 2 of which are teaching facilities for Psychiatry residents - these hospitals are staffed with psychiatrists and residents (no APPs). The 3rd facility has medical students - it is staffed with ~50% Psychiatrists 50% APPs. - Candidates must have an M.
