**Psychiatry Residency Director Opportunity in Upland, PA** Located 18 miles from Downtown Philadelphia **Position Information:** - Exciting New Opportunity in the Philadelphia Suburbs - Seeking an individual passionate about supervising and mentoring psychiatry residents. - Full-time, permanent position - 302-bed tertiary care teaching hospital is the only hospital in the Philadelphia suburbs with a comprehensive emergency department (ED), trauma center and burn treatment center. - Located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, it is dedicated to the community it serves, providing high quality patient care to residents of Delaware County and the region at large. **Responsibilities and Requirements:** - The Residency Director is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the ACGME residency training program. - The Program Director develops and maintains the educational quality of the training program and ensures compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. Ideal candidate should have strong familiarity with ACGME Guidelines and be Board Certified in Psychiatry. - The Residency Director should be knowledgeable about compliance and regulatory requirements at the various training sites in which their residents/fellows rotate. - The Residency Director is responsible for developing engaging curriculum, coordinating didactic lectures, integrating principles with the medical curriculum, overseeing education/ clinical care in all program-related patient care areas, and both supervising as well facilitating medical care to the residency program patients. - Excellent Written and Oral skills required. - Ability to work independently, to initiate tasks, and complete necessary tasks within prescribed periods within the residency program.
