Inpatient Psychiatry Opportunity in beautiful Alaska!

*Location: Alaska; 40 miles north of Anchorage; Gorgeous area with abundant outdoor recreation: photography, site seeing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, and so much more!
*Setting: Inpatient/Hospital
*Start Date: ASAP
*End Date: Ongoing
*Coverage: 7 on / 7 off; Clinical hours + Call (beeper)
*Immediate dates to cover: ASAP through June
*Requirements:

  • BE/BC
  • Active, unrestricted AK license; or Obtain AK license ASAP – 4-8 week turnaround, locums or emergency licenses may be available
  • Clean DEA (no current suits or unresolved cases)
  • Inpatient experience

*Credentialing Timeframe: up to 60 days
*Skills:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Affective disorders
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Personality disorders
  • Involuntary Commitments (familiarity)
  • Restraint Application (familiarity
  • Pharmacotherapy

*EMR: MedHost
*Volume: 14 patients per day
