**Psychiatric Medical Director opening in Elmira, NY**
Located 30 miles south of Ithaca; 2 hours from Rochester
**Position Details:**
- Full-time, permanent position
- Outstanding opportunity for an experienced inpatient Clinical Psychiatrist to join highly respected practice as part of an established 210+ provider multi-specialty group.
- Oversee all aspects of the Medical & AHP staff with the Administrative Director & Department Chair
- Drive Medical & AHP staff performance assessments and reviews, including the use of such tools as analytics & dashboards
- Assist with oversight of staffing levels, performance, and accountability
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state laws & regulations, meeting the requirements and responsibilities of the Medical Director under NYCRR Title 14 part 580, and NYS Mental Hygiene Law
- Assist with the planning & implementation of the performance improvement program
- Function as a consultant, when needed to other Psychiatrists and AHPs admitting patients to the BSU
- Insure coverage of the BSU at all times by a qualified Psychiatrist member of the Medical Staff
