**Health Crisis and Consultation Psychiatrist Opportunity in Delaware County, PA**
Located 18 miles from downtown Philadelphia
**Health Crisis and Consultation Psychiatrist:**
- Seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified psychiatrist for the health systems crisis and consultation service.
- Full-time, permanent position
- Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday
- No required call.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations to patients that present to the medical center as well as in-person consults to hospitalized patients receiving medical care. The psychiatrist will work collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide high quality care to all patients. Conducts evaluations of patients to determine appropriate level of care. Evaluates voluntary and involuntary commitments and completes 302 paperwork in its entirety when deemed necessary. Candidate will function as a proactive team player in a fast-paced environment ensuring high quality care to patients seeking treatment for psychiatric emergencies. Candidate must be open to medical student and Advanced Practice Provider supervision and training. Candidate will provide clinical oversight to psychiatry residents as part of clinical rotation. This is a wonderful opportunity for a new graduate or an experienced psychiatrist. Ideal candidate will coordinate care with outside providers and hospital disciplines when clinically appropriate.
**Requirements:**
- Psychiatric and Medical license.
- Current MD license in the State of Pennsylvania required plus current DEA registration.
