A Hospital’s Graduate Medical Education Department (GME) is seeking a founding Program Director to provide professional expertise and leadership to a new Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency. Experience teaching in a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program and experience with publications and grant writing skills preferred. Applicant must be board certified by the American Podiatric Medical Association and graduated from an approved CPME program.
The Program Director of the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program will provide administrative leadership and direction to the program. Provide direct patient care, supervise and precept residents in clinical settings; provide supervision and oversight Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program support staff; assist with recruiting of residents; develop, revise and maintain curriculum, lead in residents performance improvement plans, coaching, remediation and disciplinary activities as needed; oversee and teach didactics curriculum to residents; ensure the Annual Program Evaluation and compliance with the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) are updated.
