An excellent locum tenens opportunity is available for a Podiatrist Physician in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. This role offers a full scope of podiatric care including clinic-based foot and ankle management, inpatient consults, and surgical procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The provider will primarily focus on clinic care while managing foot and ankle pathology, performing procedures, and collaborating with a supportive clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for a podiatrist seeking a consistent weekday schedule with minimal call responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform foot and ankle surgeries and procedural interventions
• Prescribe orthotics and therapeutic treatment plans
• Manage fractures, arthritis, corns, calluses, and podiatric disorders
• Provide inpatient consults and treatment recommendations
• Perform inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures
• Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
• Maintain timely documentation and EMR records
Qualifications
• Board Certified or completion of ACGME/AOA residency required
• Active Oklahoma License required
• Oklahoma DEA and CDS required
• BLS & ACLS certification required (non-AHA accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required with no significant work gaps
• Pediatric experience required
• No malpractice, remedial plans, or red flags
Working Hours
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 8-hour shifts
• Occasional on-call coverage
• No weekend call required
• Occasional weekend inpatient rounds if needed
