Podiatrist – Home Visit Practice | Chicago, IL
Join a well-established mobile podiatry practice serving the Chicago community! We’re seeking a motivated Podiatrist (1099/Independent Contractor) to provide quality in-home care to our patients. This position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours, a supportive team, and an existing patient base.

Position Highlights:

Monday–Friday schedule (9 AM–5 PM, or end your day early when patient visits are complete)

Established, loyal patient base (approximately 90% geriatric population)

Routine foot care with some wound care cases

Note-taking required; Practice Fusion used for documentation

Direct access to the Medical Director for guidance and support

Flexible pay structure: Choose between 50% of collections or 40% of collections with an $80K+ base salary

Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive podiatric care to patients in their homes, focusing primarily on routine foot and nail care
Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and lower extremities
Perform minor procedures such as debridement, callus and corn removal, and wound management when needed
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in Practice Fusion EMR system
Educate patients and caregivers on proper foot care, footwear, and preventive health measures
Communicate effectively with patients, family members, caregivers, and collaborating healthcare professionals
Manage patient schedules efficiently to ensure timely visits and continuity of care
Adhere to all infection control, HIPAA, and practice compliance standards
Participate in occasional team meetings or case reviews with the Medical Director
Maintain professional licensure and stay current with continuing education requirements
Qualifications
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine
Active and unrestricted Illinois Podiatry License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Podiatric Medicine and/or Surgery
Strong clinical skills in routine foot care, nail and callus debridement, and wound management
Comfortable working independently in a mobile/home visit environment
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Proficiency with electronic medical records (Practice Fusion experience preferred)
Ability to manage time efficiently and maintain accurate, compliant documentation
