Physiatry Opportunity on Eastern Shore of Maryland

You'll step into a turnkey outpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation role with an immediate patient panel and strong referral streams. This position is built for a physiatrist who enjoys managing chronic musculoskeletal and spine-related pain with a nonoperative, procedure-forward approach. If you want interventional work without a traditional pain-management model (and without narcotic prescribing), this is worth a closer look.

Practice Overview

• Join an established orthopedic practice with strong in-house referrals plus an outside referral network across a five-county service area
• Focus on cervical and lumbar spine conditions, chronic neck/back pain, work-related injuries, and trauma/MVA-related pain
• Procedures and diagnostics include EMG/nerve-conduction studies, spine evaluations, and image-guided injections; PRP and additional MSK injections available based on your comfort
• Coordinate neurosurgery referrals locally when surgical evaluation is needed

Schedule

• Monday-Friday outpatient schedule; typical hours approximately 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
• No call and no weekend coverage
• Typical volume: 20-22 patients per clinic day with the ability to increase to ~30/day
• Example weekly mix: ~2.5 days guided injections, ~0.5 day PRP, remainder clinic/EMGs/nerve-conduction studies; adjustable to your interests and skill set

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary + quarterly bonus model; total compensation opportunity up to approximately $400,000+
• Quarterly bonus payments; structure finalized based on experience, productivity, and procedural capabilities
• Negotiable sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and malpractice insurance
• $5,000 annual CME/licensing/dues allowance plus 1 week CME time; 3-4 weeks PTO; 10 sick days; profit-sharing plan eligibility

Candidate Requirements

• Physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation training)
• Non-negotiable: experience and willingness to treat both cervical and lumbar spine conditions
• Ability to perform EMG testing and nerve-conduction studies
• Comfort with image-guided injections (including epidurals) and interest in interventional spine/MSK procedures
