We are seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician for a locum tenens position in Seattle, Washington. This is a general inpatient rehabilitation opportunity on a dedicated inpatient rehab unit. Please see below for more information.
- Regional Level 1 Trauma Center
- Safety net hospital
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
Manage approximately 12 inpatients per day
Manage inpatient rehabilitation beds as the primary clinical need
Care for a patient mix of approximately 30% stroke, 30% brain injury, and 30% spinal cord injury
Manage medically and socially complex patients, including patients on ventilators
Manage patients who may not have a clear discharge plan
Supervise residents and trainees involved in the service
Assist with admissions as needed
Treat an adult patient population (18+)
Rehabilitation-based practice with no surgical component
No EMGs
Qualifications
Active Washington state license required
BLS required
Working Hours
No call required
Provider may complete patient work early but must remain available until 5:00 PM to supervise residents and assist with admissions
