Job description
We are seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for a locum tenens position in Mount Vernon, IL. This is an inpatient rehabilitation coverage opportunity at an acute care hospital. Please see below for more information.
- Beds: 134
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Manage a daily census of 8–10 adult patients
Perform bread-and-butter inpatient rehab cases, joint injections, and baclofen pump management
Cover potential consults on the acute care side
Collaborate with support staff including occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, and RNs
Qualifications
Active Illinois state license
DEA
CSR
ACLS
Working Hours
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00a–3:30p or 8:00a–4:30p (flexible)
Wednesday staff meeting at 7:30a
Night call (call only — no facility presence required)
Start Date: 6/1/2026
Contract Length: 3 weeks
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
