Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to evaluate, treat, and improve the functional ability and quality of life for patients with physical impairments or disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with musculoskeletal injuries, neuromuscular disorders, chronic pain, and other disabling conditions, and will coordinate care across multiple specialties as needed.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to evaluate, treat, and improve the functional ability and quality of life for patients with physical impairments or disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with musculoskeletal injuries, neuromuscular disorders, chronic pain, and other disabling conditions, and will coordinate care across multiple specialties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Examine patients to assess mobility, strength, communication, cognition, and pain characteristics.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans using therapies, rehabilitation techniques, and non-medical devices.
- Monitoring Progress: Track patient responses to treatments and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, including pain management strategies.
- Patient & Family Education: Guide patients and their families in adapting to lifestyle changes and optimizing rehabilitation outcomes.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with multiple specialty physicians when managing patients with complex injuries.
Requirements:
- Current medical license to practice.
- Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Strong leadership, team management, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience with Workers Compensation or No-Fault cases.
- Knowledge of relevant New York regulations regarding Workers Compensation and No-Fault programs.
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated experience in managing patients with traumatic injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, or chronic pain.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective rehabilitation strategies.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to create actionable care plans.
