Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician with a focus in Pain Management to provide comprehensive outpatient care. This role involves delivering high-quality patient-centered services in an ambulatory clinic setting, with occasional procedural coverage in an operating room environment.
Schedule & Coverage:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Shift Type: Day (8-hour shifts)
Call: Office call only (after hours and weekends)
Float: Coverage required across clinic and procedural settings
Lunch Break: Typically, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Practice Setting
Outpatient / Ambulatory clinic
Support staff includes secretary and licensed practical nurse (LPN)
Patient population: All age groups (neonates to geriatrics)
Acuity: Ambulatory patients only
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
Perform interventional pain management procedures
Coordinate diagnostic testing, treatment plans, and referrals
Supervise and collaborate with nursing and support staff
Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities
Support teaching initiatives for medical trainees, when applicable
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards
Maintain professional, respectful, and patient-centered care practices
Procedures Required
Candidates must be proficient in:
Epidural steroid injections (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
Medial branch blocks (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
Radiofrequency ablation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
Nerve blocks (various anatomical sites)
Trigger point injections
Sacroiliac joint injections
Spinal cord stimulator trials
Genicular nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablation
Intercostal nerve blocks
Piriformis injections
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Management or PM&R
Active state medical license
BLS
Minimum 1–2 years of experience post-fellowship
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
