Shift(s) Description: 5 days, Monday-Friday (8 AM-4:30PM) | Ongoing
Call: Office calls only after hours and on weekends
Setting: Ambulatory clinic and OR coverage
EMR: Epic
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care on a regular schedule, including call coverage
- Deliver comprehensive medical care and patient supervision across settings (clinic, hospital, or home as needed)
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, and referrals
- Guide and supervise nursing, ancillary, and support staff in patient care
- Collaborate with the Chief of Department on managed care delivery and clinical operations
- Work with administration to ensure efficient, accessible, and high-quality healthcare services
- Participate as faculty for residency programs and support medical students when applicable
- Serve on the Peer Review Committee as needed
- Contribute to standards of care development and adhere to clinical indicators
- Support quality assurance activities in coordination with QA teams
- Ensure compliance with hospital, local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and patient-centered approach
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
- Take initiative in additional responsibilities as assigned by department leadership
Clinical Competency & Patient Care:
- Complete Age-Specific Competency Training within 12 months
- Assess and address patient needs across all age groups
- Apply knowledge of growth and development stages in patient care
Provide appropriate care for:
- Neonates (<1 month)
- Infants (1 month–1 year)
- Children (1–12 years)
- Adolescents (13–17 years)
- Adults (18–64 years)
- Geriatric patients (65+ years)
Submission Requirements:
- Active NY License
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in PM&R (Pain Management)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 1–2 years post-fellowship experience
- Epic experience required
