Physician - Physiatrist In-Patient - Cobb

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a board certified/board eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician/Physiatrist to join our inpatient rehab team at Wellstar Cobb Hospital.

Our 20 bed CARF accredited inpatient rehab unit provides patient-focused care, with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional outcomes. Our team works together with patients and families to achieve their greatest level of independence and facilitate a smooth transition to home and the community.

This full time position follows a 7 on/7 off schedule, offering a healthy work-life balance in an inpatient rehab setting. Responsibilities for this role include the following:

• Serve as the attending physician for patients in our acute inpatient rehab unit
• Provide comprehensive care including admissions, discharges, and daily rounding responsibilities
• Provide consultation services to our hospital
• Work closely with a dedicated inpatient rehab APP, rehab physician, and other hospital consultants
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, case managers, care partners, admissions team, IRF-PAI coordinator etc.
• Participate in weekly team conference meetings
• Ensure regulatory compliance guidelines per CMS, CARF, and the Joint Commission.
