Job description
Physiatrist / Leader needed for a new inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the Tampa area, scheduled to open in the coming months. They’re looking for a physiatrist to be their Medical Director and help shape the program from the ground up, and use your expertise to create a strong clinical culture in a new facility.
The Medical Director will oversee the rehabilitation program, work closely with therapists and nursing staff to guide patient care and outcomes. PM&R will be well supported by internal medicine, and there is call coverage in place. You will carry a typical inpatient census of 15–25 patients (depending on your practice preference) and have the opportunity to develop an outpatient follow-up program if you wish. The hospital will bring on additional PM&Rs as the census grows, with your input, developing a collegial group of physicians and team.
