Premier Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, P.C. is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physiatrist to join our outpatient musculoskeletal practice. With offices in Bellerose and Valley Stream, we offer advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

๐ Practice Specialties

Objective and Definitive Medical Evaluations

Therapeutic Modalities (Electrical Muscle Stimulation, Ultrasound, Paraffin Therapy)

Heat/Cold Therapy

Exercise Rehabilitation (Aerobic & Strength Training)

Pain Management

Electrodiagnostic Studies (EMG/NCV)
๐ฉป Key Responsibilities
-
Evaluate and examine patients requiring physical therapy or pain management
-
Diagnose pain resulting from injury, disease, or disabling conditions
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
-
Perform trigger point, soft tissue, and joint injections
-
Lead and collaborate with medical staff, including physical therapists
-
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
-
Conduct or supervise electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCV)
-
Educate patients and families on treatment, self-care, and lifestyle modifications
-
Order and interpret imaging tests (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound)

Recommend specialist consultations as appropriate

Prescribe orthotic devices and ensure proper fitting
-
Maintain accurate and complete medical documentation
๐ Education & Requirements

MD or DO
-
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (ABPMR)

Active New York State medical license
-
BLS certification
-
Experience in outpatient musculoskeletal practice preferred
