Locum - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Physiatry (PM&R)

Join our esteemed medical facility in Anderson, South Carolina, as we seek PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) locum coverage to address an anticipated physician shortage due to maternity leave. Our hospital offers a supportive environment with a focus on delivering exceptional care, serving both adult and geriatric populations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care within the PM&R specialty.
• Conduct prescribing narcotics and ensuring adherence to CMS guidelines.
• Perform pre-admission screening reviews and documentation.
• Create weekly care plans and discharge summaries.
• Supervise nurse practitioners as needed.
• Manage an average of 20 patients in the Behavioral Health unit per day.
• Participate in on-call rotations with a 1:4 call ratio.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in PM&R (required).
• Completion of fellowship training (preferred).
• Active South Carolina medical license (required).
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days, required).
• BLS / ACLS certification (preferred).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active South Carolina license (required).
• Board Certified status in PM&R (required).
• Current BLS / ACLS certification (preferred).
