  • Residency trained in PM&R
  • Active BLS
  • Active DEA
  • Available April 1 – April 29
  • Comfortable with 7a–7a coverage (day rounding with night/weekend call)
Highly Preferred
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
  • Active Nebraska license (IMLC accepted)
Assignment Overview
  • Coverage Reason: Provider vacation
  • Setting: Acute inpatient rehab unit within an acute care hospital
  • Unit Size: 13 beds
  • EMR: Epic
Schedule & Call
  • Coverage Dates: April 1 – April 29
  • Shift: 7a–7a
  • Call: Night and weekend call
    • Typically telephone-only
    • Rare need to return onsite after hours
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Primary provider for inpatient rehab patients
  • Daily inpatient rounding only (no clinic responsibilities)
  • Ability to consult hospital medicine for medical management as needed
  • Average volume:
    • 1–2 admissions per day
    • 1–2 discharges per day
Patient Population
  • Inpatient rehabilitation patients
  • Facility accepts most rehab-appropriate patients
  • Excludes: High spinal cord injury patients requiring ventilator support
Procedures
  • No procedures required
Support
  • Inpatient hospital support staff available
