Seeking a Physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation to provide care for those in a Brain Injury Medicine setting.
- As an expert in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, prescribes the full spectrum of Physical Therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech, Neuropsychology evaluations, and social work services. Orders Radiology, laboratory tests, makes diagnoses and prescribes/directs appropriate Rehabilitation treatment to include drugs, and dietary care as indicated. Performs and interprets full range of Electrophysiology (i.e. Electromyography (EMG), Nerve conduction velocity (NCV), Repetitive Stimulation Studies (RSS)). Performs prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation equipment evaluations and prescriptions.
- Performs limited clinical research. Teaches, and provides consultation to a health care team comprised of other physicians, medical professionals, and ancillary staff.

Job Responsibilities
A specialist in BIM should also have special expertise in the treatment and management of other central nervous system insults (e.g. encephalopathies, anoxia) with similar neurocognitive presentations.

Qualifications
Board Certification: AP/CP Board Certified Physiatrist to provide anatomic and clinical pathology services.
Experience/Graduate Training: Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training. For purposes of this standard, graduate training programs include only those internship, residency, and fellowship programs that are approved by accrediting bodies recognized within the United States or Canada.
