Position Summary
A leading South Florida health system is seeking a hospital-employed, outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join its growing rehabilitation program in Boynton Beach. This role focuses on non-surgical evaluation and management of musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional conditions, working collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient recovery, optimize function, and advance system-wide rehabilitation goals.

Practice Setting: 100% Outpatient, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive outpatient evaluations for patients with musculoskeletal, neurologic, and pain-related conditions referred by primary care and specialty services.
Develop personalized treatment and rehabilitation plans aligned with evidence-based practices and hospital protocols.
Perform a range of office-based procedures, which may include:
Joint and soft-tissue injections
Trigger point injections
Ultrasound-guided procedures
EMG/NCS testing (if applicable)
Fluoroscopic spine or interventional procedures (if credentialed)
Manage continuity of care for patients transitioning from inpatient rehabilitation or acute care settings.
Coordinate physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as orthotics, prosthetics, and DME through the hospital rehabilitation network.
Provide PM&R inpatient consultation and coverage for affiliated Baptist Health facilities as needed.
Practice Environment
Hospital-employed clinic integrated within a robust health-system network.
Monday–Friday schedule; inpatient call rotation every 4th–5th week (call frequency expected to decrease as program expands).
Access to system-based resources including PT/OT/SLP, imaging, EMG lab, pain management, and surgical specialties.
Administrative and clinical support from dedicated hospital-employed staff.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Partner with physical and occupational therapists, neurologists, orthopedic and neurosurgeons, cardiologists, pain management teams, and primary care providers to deliver coordinated patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, care coordination meetings, and hospital committees.
Communicate timely with referring physicians to enhance continuity within the Baptist Health network.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited PM&R residency.
Eligible for Florida medical licensure and hospital privileges.
Prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation preferred. Fellowship training in pain, spine, sports, brain injury, or EMG is a plus but not required.
Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills essential for a hospital-based, multidisciplinary environment.
