Lead in Pediatric Rehabilitation / Academic Excellence and Cutting-Edge Care at UCSF
The UCSF Department of Orthopedic Surgery seeks a board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Physiatrist with expertise in neuromuscular care: Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, chemodenervation, Intrathecal Baclofen Pump management, and electrodiagnostics in an academic or multispecialty setting.
The role includes clinical care, teaching, and research at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and Mission Bay. Responsibilities include collaborating on research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and educating residents, fellows, and medical students.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay, determined by academic rank and step at the time of appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700. This position is governed by the UC Health Sciences Compensation Plan, APM-670 [Register to View] which allows for eligibility for negotiated additional compensation. As such, the total negotiated salary (including base and negotiated components) can be significantly higher and can range up to $900,000, depending on individual qualifications, clinical productivity, and other factors assessed at the time of offer.

- Strong EMG/NCS skills or willingness to deepen competency with on-the-job training.
- Ability to provide care across inpatient and outpatient settings, with interest in complex pediatric conditions

- MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
- Completed an accredited Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program.
