Physiatrist / Medical Director – Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital
*Location: Chandler, AZ - Phoenix 25m | Employment Type: Independent Contractor*
Position Overview
Join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team providing compassionate, high-quality rehabilitation care in a 50-bed acute rehab hospital in the East Valley area of Phoenix. The Medical Director will partner with the CEO and medical staff to ensure clinical excellence and regulatory compliance, while fostering a dynamic and patient-centered healing environment.
Position Highlights
* Independent Contractor position with flexible scheduling
* Leadership role as Medical Director of a 50-bed acute rehab hospital
* Collaborate with CEO and interdisciplinary clinical team
* Provide oversight and direction in accordance with CMS, Joint Commission, and facility standards
* Opportunity to maintain or build a clinical practice alongside leadership duties

Qualifications
* MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Arizona medical license (or ability to obtain)
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
* Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration experience
* Eligible through one of the following:
* Completion of a PM&R residency
* Fellowship in rehabilitation (minimum one year)
* One-year hospital internship plus two years’ experience managing inpatient rehabilitation patients
