We are seeking a Board Certified Physiatrist to provide locum coverage in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role involves managing medically complex adult patients in a 14-bed rehab unit within a community hospital, collaborating with multiple specialties to ensure optimal patient recovery. The schedule includes weekday shifts and occasional weekend call, with a low call census and minimal callbacks.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage a daily census of approximately 12–14 patients, with 1–2 admissions/discharges per day.
• Provide care across CNS rehab, sports/orthopedic rehab, and medical rehab cases.
• Collaborate with other hospital specialties for complex patient needs.
• Document all patient encounters using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
• Active Colorado medical license or active IMLC – required.
• Experience managing medically complex rehab patients.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred.
• Strong interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
Working Hours
• Occasional weekend call (every 4th–7th weekend, flexible).
• Night call 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM (low census, minimal callbacks).
Skills
• Expertise in CNS rehab, orthopedic/sports rehab, and medical rehab.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
