Position Details:

• Facility Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (20 beds)
• Reason for Coverage: Physiatrist Vacation Coverage
• Setting: 100% Adult Rehab – Hospital Inpatient Only (No Outpatient Clinic)
• Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Admission Screening Review and Documentation per CMS Guidelines
  • Prescribing Narcotics
  • Discharge Summary/Med Rec
  • Weekly Care Plan Documentation
  • Post-Admission Evaluations
  • Face-to-Face Visits
  • IPOCS, PAPE/H&P
• Patient Load: 10-20 per day
• Shift Details:
  • Can be partial days with availability to approve admissions via computer
  • Team conferences on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8 AM (Start time on these days is 8 AM)
• Weekend Requirements:
  • May need to do post-admission evaluations (Advance notice will be provided)
• On-Call: None
• EMR System: Cerner

Compensation & Reimbursement:

• Car, fuel, mileage, and hotel reimbursement capped at $150 per day (including taxes)
• Rental cars must be refueled before return
• No reimbursement for medical staff fees
• No third-party lodging bookings (Expedia, Kayak, etc.)
• McLaren is tax-exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging

Requirements:

• Board Certified (No BE) – Required
• Michigan License – Required at time of name clear (No IMLC accepted)
• BLS Certification – Required
• Local Candidates Only – Required (No exceptions)
• Clean Background – Required for quick credentialing
• Availability for listed dates – Required
