A strong PM&R clinician is needed as a Medical Director to lead our rehab team in our beautiful, brand new inpatient rehab unit, inside a large community hospital. This is an incredible opportunity to shape a new program into your ideal! You will provide direction and education to your own clinical team and work with experienced administrative leadership to grow the department to serve the community. The ideal candidate is an experienced Physiatrist that can balance clinical and administrative roles, so strong communication and team building skills are a big asset! Academically minded individuals are highly encouraged to apply as there are teaching opportunities.

You will oversee the care and treatment of the general and neuro-rehab patients, utilizing the latest technology available. As this is a mid-sized unit inside and acute care hospital, you’ll have access to the specialists and consultants needed to safely and appropriately provide physiatric care to your patients. You’ll be able to focus on rehab!

Job Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for the inpatient rehabilitation program.
Develop and implement policies to ensure high-quality patient care.
Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to optimize program effectiveness.
Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree with Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Substantial clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings.
Proven leadership and administrative experience in healthcare.
Current and valid medical license.
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
