MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an experienced and Board Certified PM & R physician to join our Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit located in Dubuque, Iowa.
Job Description:
- Candidates must be experienced and Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit located in Dubuque, Iowa.
- Experience managing medical cases and a great team player who is comfortable working with an interdisciplinary care team including nurses, physicians, and therapists.
- MercyOne Dubuques Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has been providing the community comprehensive rehabilitation for over 35 years and currently is a 9 bed department including an independent living apartment. The unit has the potential for immediate growth up to 17 beds.
- Patients on the rehabilitation unit range in age from 18 years to geriatrics.
- Common diagnoses seen on the unit include stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, Guillain Barre syndrome, Parkinsons disease, multiple sclerosis, major multiple traumas, cardiac & orthopedic conditions, and other conditions causing impairments in functional areas.
- The schedule for this is full-time, Monday-Friday, which includes 36 patient contact hours per week.
