The Department of Orthopaedics & Physical Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking applications from interested board-eligible or board-certified PM&R physicians. The Division of PM&R is growing, with the opportunity to provide services in inpatient care at our affiliated rehabilitation hospital, outpatient neurorehabilitation care, and inpatient consults available. Applicants will be considered at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.

The PM&R Division at MUSC is led by its Division Chief, Ameet Nagpal, MD, MS, MEd, MBA. Dr. Nagpal s vision is to develop a world class physical medicine & rehabilitation program. MUSC and the PM&R Division are aligned in the strategy of developing a PM&R residency within the next 3 years.

MUSC Health University Medical Center is an 865 bed, quaternary care, Level I Trauma Center in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC, serving a large catchment area. Our ambulatory care centers are situated throughout Lowcountry to ensure adequate access for the patients whom we serve.

MUSC Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, is a standalone, 49 bed acute rehabilitation hospital in North Charleston, SC. Our hospital has earned The Joint Commission s Gold Seal of Approval for Disease-Specific Care Certification in stroke rehabilitation and hip fracture rehabilitation.

Charleston, SC is one of the most historic cities in the southeastern United States and offers a wide variety of recreational activities including swimming, sailing, kayaking, fishing, and golf.
