Job Description

Last Update: 4/25/24
A brand-new freestanding Rehabilitation Hospital in Northeast Missouri is looking for a Medical Director! The hospital is expected to serve 650 patients annually, as it will be successful in that they have no immediate competition in the area. The organization truly distinguishes themselves by their commitment to their patients, employees, and the community in which they serve. The Medical Director will oversee all aspects of PM&R including the oversight of all clinicians, as well as working with administration to improve clinical outcomes. This is an independent contractor position with a generous stipend, and the physician will bill fee for service. You’ll be provided with excellent rehab patients on the inpatient side, a solid consult service is available, and you will have the opportunity to follow up with your patients or develop an outpatient practice that suits your particular interest (i.e. MSK, pain management, spasticity, etc.). The benefits of owning your own practice are numerous, and we’re excited to go over those with you. This beautiful new rehab hospital is close to a large acute care hospital which will be feeding its patients to them, and the demand for rehabilitation services is high, so this is an ideal spot to build your rehab practice. You will have assistance to do so! The referring hospital is in a metro area of about 100,000 people and is in a historic community, dating back to French-Canadian fur traders. This is a community that is rich in history of the old west, as some of the most iconic western people and events occurred in the area. Museum enthusiasts can enjoy some of the premier institutions dedicated to some of the most impressive and interesting historical innovations of 19th century United States! The area is also known for one of the most popular renaissance fairs for those looking to time travel and experience days of centuries past. With dozens of universities in the immediate area, this is a perfect place to raise a family.
