Pediatric Physician is needed in Maine
Out Patient practice

The position will support a J-1 visa

This city is located in the Northern part of the state in a family oriented community of 10,000 people Located about 90 minutes to Bangor, 2 hours to Portland and less than 1 hour to Presque Isle where the airport and Medical School are located. The hospital is a small critical access hospital . They also have 28 skilled nursing/nursing home beds on the hospital campus. The hospital services a population of 20,000 people. Services are typical of those of a community hospital and include a 24 hour physician covered ER.

This is an Outpatient practice with a fully supported staff. Very nice, congenial, well established practice.

The Outpatient clinic is Monday -Friday and each provider sees an average of 13/ patients/day. Pediatricians work four days a week. They round for the newborn nursery and attend c-sections if there is a problem.

Last year there were approximately 125 births and 45 were planned C-section. The Pediatrician Does not have to attend general C-sections

This hospital is contracted with a neo-natal unit, who comes should the need arise .

Base salary is very Competitive with full benefits
