POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a small clinic located in Centralia, in which the new pediatrician will be the primary provider. The new physician will typically see 12 to 15 patients per day, with 26 appointments being the maximum allowed (this number is rarely, if ever, reached). There are 6 same-day acute appointment slots allotted. Well-child exams, new patients, and procedures are scheduled for 30-minute appointments. All patient visits are prepped and supported by a trained clinical assistant. The practice does have a small patient base with special needs and the new physician must be comfortable working with special needs children and with pediatric respite care. The practice utilizes the NextGen EHR. There are no hospital rounds for the role - it is solely an outpatient position. The on-call requirement is very minimal, as the clinic utilizes a pediatric nursing call center. Only phone calls specifically requiring a physician are escalated.
