- Start Date: 10/05/2026
- Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, No call
- Duration: Approximately 48 hours total
- Shift: Day hours, outpatient and inpatient
- Hours/Week: Based on scheduled shifts
- Employment Type: Contract/Per Diem
- Required Licenses/Certifications: Pediatric Ophthalmology certification/license preferred
- Experience: Pediatric ophthalmology, NICU screening, ROP screenings, inpatient/outpatient
- Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00
- Pay package discussed upon application

- Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable
- Perform ROP screenings in NICUs at three different hospital campuses in El Paso
- Provide inpatient ophthalmologic evaluations for infants aged 0-1
- Conduct one screening per patient, rounding as needed
- Collaborate with NICU nursing staff and support teams
- Manage an average of 65 patients daily in a clinic setting
- Support continuity of care and document findings accurately
Required:
- Pediatric ophthalmology certification/license
- Experience with NICU screening and ROP assessments
- Ability to work independently within hospital settings
Preferred:
- Experience in inpatient pediatric ophthalmology
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to handle a high patient volume efficiently
