Locums | Pediatric Hospitalist / Neonatology | Eureka, CA (CA license required) Why This Role

  • NICU-focused pediatric coverage
Assignment Details Start/end: November 1, 2026, ongoing; specific coverage blocks available through December Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 6am-6am Coverage type: Inpatient call only Setting: Approximately 80% NICU / 20% pediatrics; NICU patients down to 32 weeks EMR: Epic Credentialing: 30-60 days; temporary privileges available for qualified clean-file candidates Clinical Details Required scope: Pediatric hospitalist with neonatology experience OR neonatologist comfortable managing pediatric patients Required scope: Newborn resuscitation and management of premature infants 32 weeks and above Required scope: Neonatal airway management including intubation Required scope: Management of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression Required scope: Emergent UVC placement, UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, and EKG interpretation Preferred scope: Ventilator management and neonatal chest tube insertion Requirements Board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency License: active CA license required ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP Active DEA Compensation Rate caps apply per facility Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
