**Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Nursery Opening in Connecticut**
- Located in Bridgeport, CT
- BE/BC
- Full-time; Permanent position
**Overview**
- Schedule:
- Six (6) weekday shifts and two (2) weekend shifts per four (4) week cycle
- There are thirteen (13) cycles per year
- Each shift is twenty-four (24) hours
- For weekday shifts, physician must be on-site at the hospital between 5:00PM - 10:00AM of each twenty four (24) hour shift and available via phone between 10:00AM – 5:00PM
- For weekend shifts, physician must be on-site at the hospital for the entire twenty-four (24) hour shift
- Hospital coverage includes rounding on newborns, attending c-sections (both scheduled and emergent), managing photo therapy, occasional pedi consults to E.D. or floors, and stabilization of newborns for transport
- Faculty opportunity with Quinnipiac University teaching med students
- Support from neonatologists 24/7
- No circumcisions
- Hospital averages over 1,000 deliveries annually
